Laying low in China *Day 5*

Day 5 Wednesday 20th May

After such a hectic few days, not to mention the lead up to actually getting here, it was time to have a bit of a relaxing morning.

Here is some more yummy food:

For the afternoon, J and I decided to do a bit of exploring in the local vicinity and went across the road to Lianggontang Park. We strolled, took a paddleboat on the river and encountered some rather impressive Roman Statues at 'Rome Metropolis'.

Lots of big round places here:

Very kitsch but was a must do for the foreigner and her companion:

Welcome to Rome:

Followed by a coffee at a lovely place nearby:

There may have been some ice cream involved also:

I watched anoth class this evening, for further orientation, although this will be a class that I will not be teaching.

As I said, a rather low key day. Just what the doctor ordered, I'll say!
